I live in Nice, France, and one of my frequent photo walks around the city is along the Promenade des Anglais, the Mediterranean seafront pedestrian walkway. This photo was taken on a cloudy evening in late May 2026. In the crowds of walkers was a man ahead of me in the distance who would stop at each of the stairway structures that lead down to the beach and perform a few handstands before moving on to the next one. His actions stood out so I followed him until I got close enough to capture this image. I wanted to fill the frame. The woman in the background who seems to be under his legs was a bonus framing element.
